Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival, Eden tells the story of Helen Kunen (Joanna Going), a mother of two who struggles with her identity, multiple sclerosis and her marriage to a teacher at a New England boys' school in 1965. When Helen begins tutoring one of the boys (Sean Patrick Flanery), he develops a crush on her. Meanwhile, Helen's ailment allows her to embark on out-of-body experiences.
